Club History

Northwest British Classics began in the middle 80's as a single marque automobile club, specifically Triumph sports cars. A group of owners and other enthusiasts in the Boise, Idaho area began what was to become, Triumph Owners and Drivers, a British sporting automobile club. Better known as T. O. A. D. The membership grew to around 15 and as one or two people from the Boise area moved to Northern Idaho, they brought the club with them. In a short time the club grew to 20 or so members throughout the state and also drawing from Montana and Washington. The club officers and newsletter and activities were geared mostly to that area centered in and around North Idaho, Eastern Washington and Western Montana.

As times and interests change and people come and go, TOAD became Northwest British Classics and now encompasses all British engineered, English derived and built automobiles, with an emphasis on the sporting aspect of the breed. Membership is geared towards family participation and all events are open to all. We have monthly meetings, sponsor outings and events, most notably our yearly show and shine, BRITBULL. We publish an award winning monthly newsletter and with about 30 current family memberships, we are dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of all aspects of the British heritage of fine sporting automobiles.
